Trip to the swimming pool!!

With summer here the hot humid weather has really hit!  Hot sunny days make for perfect days for swimming and we hit the local pool, Bella with her new Shark Floaties! Check them out!

Making bread.... artisan wholemeal

Today Mirabella and I made bread.  With a lot of needing and love we crafted our loaf.  It rose amazingly and tasted great and all done by hand.  No bread machines here!!

Wholemeal flour, unbleached white combination for Bella's sustained energy.  Will go great with our peanut butter and honey!

NYC Cookout Party and Memorial

Lily's cousins know how to party in style. It was a special event for the family and a great way to greet Summer! It was a memorial for their one of our own. A mother, a sister and obviously an important party of the family.

I couldn't see a better way to celebrate than to have a block party in the middle of the Bronx, why not.  Jerk chicken, hamburgers (beef and chicken), ribs, roast pork, mac'n'cheese (salads too).... Full bar, cakes and more. It was awesome and all cooked on a 7 metre long trailer/bbq fired by coal for that smokey flavour.

And who could have a party without a dance floor? Bella was ripping it up early getting as much attention from her newly met cousins, 2nd cousins, grandmother, great great grandmother and friends of the family.
