Skanda and Jen visit Philly!!

It was awesome to have Jen and Skanda in town on the way down south on their world/Mexican adventure.  Great to have some people we were able to show our town off too!

Here's Skanda stealing some Bella love

On our way to a river festival on Schuylkill River we were stopped for about 15 minutes on the bus as a nude bike ride parade went past.... have to love Philly

The family on the bridge with the river festival happening below.

City from the West.

Synchronised dances on paddle boards while spectators watch from boats nearby.

Bella doing her bit for the festival arts!

Now that's a scary river moster!

Sunset frisbee with a Queen....

Philadelphia is full of murals, even more so than NYC. This is the one of the side of our apartment building! Right near the zipcar parking.

Picnic in Bella's favourite park, right next to the playground. We'd come straight from the Reading Terminal Market, enjoying some local Pennsylvanian beer, soft prezels, olives and cheese.  So good!

Delaware side of the town (our side), WWII destroyer

Before the fountain

After the fountain.... normally on a hot summer day Bella would have to fight for a spot, but not this time.

Skanda, Bella and Nick stow away on a WWII submarine!

She could be a ship mechanic

Thanks for visiting guys, was awesome to have you with us. Lots of Love,

Bella, Nick and Lily

The Queen Turns Four

We walk into a shop, the shop assistant says "Well it looks like the princess has arrived...." referring to Mirabella who is as usual dressed in her bright blue disney gown. Bells replies nonchalantly "I'm not a princess.... I'm the queen." Everyone in the shop tries but fails to stifle their shock and laughter as Bells walks past to look at the toys on display....You see Bella learnt an important lesson from disney's frozen; the Queen is more powerful than the princess  ;-)

Well the Queen turns four and what a big day it was. Presents at home first thing in the morning!

Oh dear she has a piano, the neighbours will get no sleep....

Doggie love (and it's PINK)! That's her happy, "I'm content right now" smile.

More presents, puzzles, books and crafts! A special thanks to Mandy E and Greg who send Bells some amazing Aussie books. They are being thoroughly enjoyed, great choices!

Apron to help in the kitchen, good choice Mimi and Gaga!

And a new travel blankie, already getting so much love.

From there it was to NJ and the grandparents place! Where there was amazing cakes, and Bella randomly busting out her moves and creating a dancefloor / groove train.

When living in Jersey we always pasted by a certain mega water park with huge slides coming out the side.  Bella would say "I wanna go there! Let's go on that slide Mummy, let's go on that slide Daddy!" And of course we crumbled...... So on her birthday Daddy took a day off work and we ripped that place up.  Water slides, swimming pools, obstacle course and wave pools... We hit them all up big.

Was a great day and we all had such a good sleep afterwards.

Love to everyone back in Aus! L,N & B.
